You don’t need a weight loss coach who tells you what to eat.
You need one who makes self-control instinctive.
Program
3 years later, she surprised me with this text.
I knew she’d make it — like the 400 others I’ve worked with.
Overthinking food. Researching the next diet. Contemplating. Starting over on Monday. 1,095 hours lost every year. Year after year after year.
We worked together once. Three years later, Amanda texted from her wedding day — in her gown, more comfortable in her body and more in love with herself than she ever thought possible.
- 30-year weight struggle — solved for good
- Effortless maintenance — no more dieting, ever
- Life reclaimed
When you are rewired from the root level, there’s no going back.
You don’t have a dozen problems.
You have three — and they’re driving everything.
Other programs treat each struggle separately — with rules, tracking, willpower, medication. That’s why they fail. The Lean Instinct Formula™ resolves the three root patterns underneath. When those shift, the symptoms disappear simultaneously.
Physical, sensory & neurological patterns
Your body’s internal regulation system has been overridden. Years of dieting severed the connection to real hunger and real fullness — so you eat past the point of satiety without registering it. Meanwhile, your dopamine system has been hijacked: it drives sugar cravings on a loop, independent of hunger, and has distorted your food palate so your body demands the wrong food year-round. Add impulsivity — the hand-in-the-bag-before-you-think reflex — and you have a system that is neurologically programmed to overeat the wrong food on an ongoing basis. Forget about weight loss while this is running.
No blueprint for eating freely and staying slim
You were likely raised in a culture where restriction and being overweight are both the daily norm. You’ve never seen a model for eating that makes satisfaction and staying slim the natural default. So you oscillate — starving or overindulging, rigid control or complete collapse — because you don’t have a third option. Every diet gave you a new set of rules. None gave you a way to simply live and eat without a regimen while the weight takes care of itself. Without that blueprint, every meal is a decision, every social event is a threat, and every vacation is a negotiation.
Psychological patterns
Your brain predicts you’ll lose control with the chocolate — based on years of memories built around that. This predictive coding ensures the same experience repeats and hardens into identity. You’re not just someone who struggles with food — you’ve become a dieter. And the dieter’s identity creates the dieter’s reality: the cycles, the shame, the Monday restarts, the mental clutter — all running on autopilot. As long as your brain’s model of “who you are with food” stays intact, it will manufacture matching behavior. Every failed attempt doesn’t just feel like failure — it reinforces the identity that produces the next one.
What your life looks like now
- You constantly overthink, overplan, over-react on food and weight — and over-exercise
- You dread dinners out because you’ll either lose control or spend the whole night performing discipline
- You eat less than your friends and still gain weight
- You’ve tried every program. You follow the rules, lose the weight, then gain it back — plus more
- You’re either white-knuckling a plan or in free-fall. There’s no middle.
- You’re starting to wonder if a GLP-1 is the only option left
What freedom actually looks like
You eat what you want, when you want, and the weight takes care of itself. No tracking. No rules. No medication. Food becomes unremarkable — fuel and pleasure, not a war. You stop thinking about it.
Other programs teach you to be a better dieter — or make you dependent on a drug. We teach you to be free.
When the three root patterns are resolved, you don’t need discipline. You don’t need a plan. The result is automatic.
You’ve never failed at anything this long.
These are people just like you. Watch their stories. Read their words. These are professionals who tried everything — and finally found permanent change.

without the drug.“
Food Addiction
40-year food addiction gone in 10 weeks. Weight came off naturally — no drugs, no diets, no rules. She compared notes with someone on GLP-1 medication and realized: the outcomes were the same.
“The significance of the formal dress picture is that the dress is a size 6 — which I haven’t been able to fit that size for several years — and I tried it on after 7 weeks into this program. Things keep getting better and better!!”
- 30 years of food addiction — gone
- Weight now self-adjusts without effort
She studies the brain professionally. She knew the mechanisms, the terminology, the research. She still couldn’t fix this.
- 27-year binge-eating pattern — ended
- Weight loss now automatic and effortless
She worked in health. She understood nutrition. She still couldn’t stop the cycle.
- 21 pounds lost — no dieting, no restriction
- Type 1 diabetes markers dramatically improved. Chronic back pain gone.
She built a thriving business from scratch. She could solve any problem — except the one with food.
These eleven are not exceptions — they are patterns.
If you’re thinking, “Alright Leslie, I’ve seen enough proof — I know you can help me,” then let’s talk.
Book A Clarity CallMeet Leslie Chen — neuroscience-based weight loss coach.
Then I moved to the US and gained 50 pounds in my first year. The diet culture, the guilt cycles, the constant food noise — I lived all of it.
One summer back in China, reconnected to normal living, I lost all of it within a year. Automatically. No restriction. No tracking. No dedicated workouts.
That experience became the seed of everything I teach. I trained in neuroscience at King’s College London — the world’s #2 ranked institution in psychiatry, psychology, and neuroscience — to understand the science behind what I’d lived.
Over 10 years and 400+ client transformations, I’ve worked with people who have mastered every other domain of their lives — Fortune 500 executives, physicians, founders, professors at top universities including MIT, neuroscientists, elite athletes, and corporate high performers driving critical accounts and products in their organizations. People who needed a weight loss coach who understood why this one domain was different — and who could resolve it at the level where the pattern actually lives.
What the first 10 weeks actually look like.
Average results across our client base. Individual experiences vary — but the pattern is consistent.
How many more years
will you give to this?
My oldest client was 69. A former Hollywood executive producer, behind shows you’d know. A big life — brilliant, accomplished, fulfilled in every way the world can see.
And still, there was a hole. For half a century, she had struggled with food and weight. We ended it together in 10 weeks.
I work with people who want to end it now — because they refuse to lose another day of their life to food.
This isn’t a program.
It’s the portal to the life you haven’t lived yet.
Common Questions About Weight Loss Coaching
This is for you if you’ve had a difficult relationship with food for years — one where you lose control. You finish the plate, every time. You can’t tell when you’re hungry or full just by listening to your body. Food is always on your mind. The cravings are constant, and if food is in front of you, you eat it. Maybe there’s a sugar addiction too. Maybe you binge regularly.
Your weight has become unstable and hard to manage, because no one ever showed you a way of eating that’s effortless, sustainable, and non-restrictive — one that keeps your weight in check naturally.
You’re highly successful in other parts of your life, which is exactly why this feels so out of alignment. And you’ve come to see — maybe from reading this page — that you haven’t solved it because you’ve never been working on the right problem. You’re ready to live a life where food and weight are non-issues.
Hypnosis works on suggestion. In a relaxed, receptive state, you’re given new messages: you don’t crave sugar, you feel full sooner, you’re in control. For some people, that creates a real shift — for a while.
But a suggestion sits on top of the pattern. It doesn’t rewrite it. Your brain has spent years learning how you eat, when you lose control, and who you are around food — and it keeps testing that suggestion against every real meal, every stressful evening, every holiday. When the two disagree, the old pattern usually wins. That’s why so many people need sessions or recordings again and again.
The Lean Instinct Formula™ works while you’re fully awake, in your real life. We rewire how your brain drives eating and how your body experiences food — your hunger and fullness signals, your cravings, and the identity underneath them — through new lived experience, week after week. You aren’t told you’re free from food. You find out you are, at your own dinner table.
Many of my clients tried hypnosis before they came to me. What finally changed wasn’t a better suggestion. It was the pattern itself.
Most of my clients have tried everything before they come to me — dietitians, nutritionists, therapists, trainers. Here’s the difference.
Dietitians and nutritionists give guidance centered on food. Food becomes the subject of the journey, and you give it your attention by curbing, controlling, calculating, and often restricting — calories or macros. In the end, what you’re training is still restriction and control. That doesn’t touch the core patterns driving overeating and weight gain. It can even reinforce the dieter’s identity — which brings more overthinking and more stress.
I don’t focus on food at all. You and I can walk into the same grocery store, be surrounded by the same food, and have completely different experiences. Someone who eats because the food is there, or because it’s “allowed,” is still being controlled by circumstance. My coaching rewires how you respond to food, environment, and triggers — so even when the food is right there, you’re simply detached. That detachment is what lets balance happen on its own, without overthinking, controlling, or calculating anything. Food stops being the subject. You no longer live the dieter’s experience — you live in freedom. That’s because the old patterns that drove you out of control, even after decades, have been reversed.
What we truly change is who you are in this area of life.
The leading therapy for eating problems is CBT-E (enhanced cognitive behavioral therapy). In studies, roughly half of patients reach remission by the end of a 3-to-6-month course, and about 30% relapse within a year.
Therapy focuses mainly on emotional regulation. But overeating is usually rooted in how the brain and body have been trained to respond to food — at the physiological and neurochemical level. Put simply: your psychological experience depends heavily on your physical experience. That foundation has to be in place first.
The Lean Instinct Formula™ works on the eating problem at every level — psychological, emotional, physical, and neurological. We rewire how your brain drives eating and how your body experiences it. In my clients’ words, the result is an entirely different physical and psychological experience. What used to feel impossible becomes a natural, normal part of living. That is what makes it so powerful.
This program isn’t the right fit if any of the following applies to you:
- You’re taking a GLP-1 medication and don’t plan to come off it soon. I can’t rewire your neurology while it’s under the drug’s effect.
- You’re on a diet and plan to keep dieting. You can’t live as a dieter and become a holistically healthy, naturally lean person at the same time. The two run in opposite directions.
- You’re carrying significant debt and are under financial stress. Take care of your financial wellbeing first, then let’s talk. Extra stress won’t help you heal on this journey.
- You’re dealing with significant mental health challenges. I work with people who have anxiety or depression when it’s well managed. The program is designed to be the smoothest, most joyful, even exciting experience possible. Emotional instability undermines that — you can’t rewire your psychology and physiology through constant mental noise.
- You don’t have time to show up for coaching calls or watch the course videos. This is probably the simplest program you’ll ever experience, because it restores the automatic system that keeps you naturally lean and balanced. But rewriting that system takes time. Plan on a few hours a week, especially at the start — when you’ll discover that almost nothing you’ve learned about eating and weight loss over the past decades is relevant to your real goal. Yes, you’re starting from scratch. But this time, for lasting results.
I can’t give you a definite answer without speaking with you first. But I’ve worked with many people who struggled with food and weight for more than half a century, and helped them reach lasting ease, freedom, and health in record time.
If I offer you a place in my program after fully understanding your situation, it means we can do it. If I can’t help you, I’ll tell you plainly what’s missing and how to close the gap. That’s why I invite you to book a call with me.
Yes. I’ve worked with couples. If you and your spouse are both struggling with this, we can talk about a dedicated approach for the two of you.
Yes. People with ADHD are more vulnerable to eating problems because of the strong link between ADHD and impulsivity. About 30% of my clients have ADHD — and they’re highly successful in their careers and lives. The program works on impulsive eating at its neurological root, which is exactly where ADHD makes food hardest.
Not the typical kind. Intuitive eating depends on accurate hunger and fullness signals. When those signals are off — and your brain chemistry is still pulling you toward food — intuitive eating has nowhere to land. Every decision stays cerebral instead of intuitive, so the food noise never stops.
So we fix the foundation first: how your brain and body respond to and experience food. Then eating becomes as instinctive as breathing, and no rules or protocols are needed.
GLP-1 drugs suppress appetite chemically. When you stop taking them, the original pattern is still there — unchanged. Most people regain the weight. Weight loss coaching with the Lean Instinct Formula™ rewires the pattern itself, so the change persists without ongoing medication, cost, or side effects. Several of my clients came to me after trying GLP-1s and experiencing exactly this. Read more about the GLP-1 question here.
If you’ve tried diets, trainers, nutritionists, apps, and medication — and none of it lasted — that’s actually the strongest indicator that this approach is right for you. Everything you’ve tried works at the symptom level. The neurological patterns driving the behavior were never addressed. That’s what we resolve.
Yes — and this is one of the key advantages. The Lean Instinct Formula™ changes the operating system, not the inputs. There are no meal plans to pack, no tracking apps to maintain, no rigid rules that collapse the moment your routine does. The method works whether you’re at home, on a business trip, or on vacation — because it rewires how your brain relates to food, not what food is in front of you.
Most weight loss coaching programs give you rules — eat this, don’t eat that, track everything, exercise more. The Lean Instinct Formula™ doesn’t add rules. It removes the neurological patterns that make rules necessary in the first place. That’s why clients describe the result as “effortless” — not because it requires no engagement, but because once the pattern shifts, the old struggle simply stops. It’s a 10-week program with a clear endpoint, not an open-ended subscription.
